Very successful and rapidly growing engineering manufacturing business is looking to add to their team with the appointment of an additional Buyer.
The company buy a wide range of standard parts as well as subcontracting work out so are seeking someone with good experience in engineering buying.
Buyer/Procurement/Supply Chain/Engineering/CIPS
Skills and experience:
Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards, you will play an important role in ensuring stock levels are maintained in line with production forecast. You will be involved with all aspects from raw materials through to out-sourced machining and fabrication.
A sound understanding of contracts and good negotiating skills are a pre-requisite to be successful in this role and a good grounding in ethical buying is essential.
The ability to work from engineering drawings and BOMs is vital to perform the role as is the ability to estimate costs.
