My client have decades of experience in sensor design and manufacture for the harshest of environments, They are a trusted partner for the delivery of solutions monitoring equipment and fluids and are looking for a Senior Production and Purchasing Planner based in Oxfordshire.
The Senior Production and Purchasing Planner, Oxfordshire, will have experience of working hand in hand with an external contract electronics manufacturing house, especially in manufacturing a surface mount PCB and then integrating them into a further final enclosure / product with hand assembly operations. Have experience of volume manufacture for industrial electronics or high quality FMCG electronics, have a proven track record of working in an operations team to bring new products to maturity from short pre-production prototype builds, through to ramping to volume and even the developing of additional sites for further increasing the volume, have a good understanding of shipping and logistics, hazardous goods, export documentation, certificate of origin document generation, knowledge of commodity codes and export paperwork / form completion and having experience in building proof of export evidence pack for products shipped ex works a distinct advantage.
The Senior Production and Purchasing Planner, Oxfordshire, will have experience in supplier identification and development of those relationships to support the rapid development of new product, be able to support daily purchasing activities in support of the fast-moving development team, expediting where required to keep the development activity fully on track, be a great team player with exceptional communication skills, able to influence outcomes in favour of the project completion and not at the expense of the quality of the ultimate deliverables and be highly computer literate and comfortable using ERP / MRP systems to manage orders and work instructions as well as create and manage parts and assemblies.
