Purchasing Assistant - £23k - £26.5k - Manchester M24 area
To assist Buyers and Purchasing Managers in the procurement of materials, goods or services. Maintenance of Purchasing data and records, along with responses to queries and requests from various key internal stakeholders.
You will ideally have Supply Chain / Customer service experience with strong Admin & Excel skills.
Manage price requests coming in to purchasing from internal customers, sending out enquiries to suppliers and providing feedback internally
Ensure system is fully updated with all relevant pricing information & master data for designated supplier, in order to allow purchase orders to be placed and audit trail to be evident.
Initiate, where required, creation of New Suppliers within system.
Investigate invoice queries collating all facts, and present to Buyer / Purchasing Manager
Support Buyers & Purchasing Managers with reports and analysis on frequent basis.
You will be - Numerate & analytical / Well organised and can manage own work load
Comfortable in dealing with people from a range of different cultures / nationalities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working both as part of team & individually
Ability to manage fluctuating workload throughout the year
Systems : preferred Proficient on SAP / Fully competent with Office, especially with Excel
