You will be working for a recognised manufacturer, based in Barnsley with easy travel access from the surrounding areas.

Your new role

Within your role as the Senior Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the Procurement of goods and services, establishing relationships and savings with only the best suppliers, who will support the growth of the business. You will be tasked with procuring all goods and services at the lowest cost the organisation. You will work effectively with all key stakeholders and across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience within the steel industry is a must. You will have a proven history of purchasing within this industry and be CIPS Qualified or working towards. Alternatively, a background in Engineering would also be beneficial. You will be confident with suppliers; analysing trends and findings, auditing and informing of necessary improvements. You will identify areas for growth within the organisation and drive company down where possible. Computer literate with Microsoft packages, you will be familiar with manufacturing MRP software.

What you'll get in return
