Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

This Global Financial Services Giant is well known internationally for their exceptional business model following an incredible business transformation in the past year. Since then, they have created a new position in their Global Indirect Sourcing & Procurement function for a talented Procurement Specialist to manage part of the $300M+ global HR and Professional Services category spend. Working closely with stakeholders based in Philadelphia, the UK and Europe, you'll be regularly interacting with C-Suite executives to add true value to the business.

Role Overview; Procurement Specialist:

  • Developing brand new sourcing strategies for the Professional Services and HR Category on a global scale, working closely with senior-level stakeholders to ensure business needs are being met
  • Support on specific global projects in cross-functional teams across spend areas such as Consultancy, Tax, Audit and Recruitment, delivering cost savings whilst ensuring value is continuously added
  • Undertaking the full end to end procurement process, including RFQs, tendering, contract award and post-contract management of strategic global suppliers
  • Engaging with C-Suite Level Stakeholders in the business to understand and deliver on key requirements whilst also managing and influencing them to gain buy-in for procurement
  • Managing key suppliers; creating new relationships and developing them into long-term successful partnerships

Procurement Skills and Background Required:

  • Experienced in Strategic Sourcing for indirect categories, preferably Professional Services and/or HR (including consultancy, contingent labour, recruitment, legal, audit and tax)
  • Previous experience in developing and executing category strategy whilst working with stakeholders
  • Strong numerical and financial acumen, analytical skills and knowledge of Excel
  • A resume outlining savings delivered and value added as a result of the full procurement process, including leading tenders, negotiations and managing supplier relationships
  • Outstanding communication skills; experience in working with Executive-level stakeholders to ensure business objectives are incorporated into procurement plans and activities

Reporting directly into the Global Head of Category, the successful candidate will have full support and development to upskill themselves, whilst also having the opportunity to work autonomously and manage key relationships.
