Technical Product Manager / Product Operations Manager

Reporting to our Technical Design Manager, as Technical Product Manager / Product Operations Manager – Joinery & Hardware you’ll be responsible for the day to day management of our joinery and hardware technical area. That’ll entail ensuring the product development and commercial agenda are supported through cross-functional working and effective utilisation of technical resource to co-ordinate, conduct and report on product evaluation, testing and trials. In addition to designing in quality and design for manufacture, your responsibility will extend to product data creation and control as well as technical legislation/compliance. 

Other key accountabilities of the Technical Product Manager / Product Operations Manager role include: 
• controlling the category change management process 
• interface with suppliers and internal teams
• development of supply chain-friendly and commercially appropriate packaging, palletisation and installation instructions.

Preferably degree-qualified in a relevant discipline and ideally with knowledge/experience of the joinery and hardware industry, you have a proven supervisory management track record in a technically-based role, with the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate multiple activities to deliver activities in line with project timelines. A strong, all-round communicator and relationship-builder, able to lead, develop and manage the operational team to deliver business-critical projects, you understand the wider business agenda, along with legislation and compliance knowledge.

• understand and articulate technical detail to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge 
• take personal accountability for the success of your team and projects.
