Demand Planner – SDM Planning Department

Overview

We are currently in the process of strengthening our Supply Demand Management (SDM) team. This team is responsible for analyzing Demand and securing Supply to support all of Apple’s Routes to Market in the EMEA region; Apple’s Online Store, Apple’s Retail Chain and also Apple’s wider Reseller Channel.

This role would be suitable for an individual who can utilise their analytical, planning and forecasting skills. This position will interest candidates from fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), Electronics, Retail & Finance backgrounds.

We are looking for an ambitious individual who will be tasked analysing sales and forecast data to drive business growth for a number of our Product Lines.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Work closely with Sales, Sales Operations and WW planning to review and gain consensus on forecasted demand.
•Develop and implement Sales and Operations Planning structure.
•Work with the Planners to align build plans, availability and allocations for all routes to market.
•Trending of current weeks sales and sales history.
•Ensure visibility into upcoming sales deals above normal run rates.
•Provide weekly availability of information for Sales and Sales Operations in support of Apple’s forecast process.
•Represent SDM team on supply visibility calls with major accounts.
•Responsible for reporting and presentation of executive reviews that are key to driving business decisions
•Provide decision support information to all levels in the organization.
•Monitor Point of Sale in stock coverage and allocation plans to help maximize sell through.

•Organised and able to react to the challenges of a fast moving environment
•Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
•Ability to build effective relationships in a cross-functional team environment
•The ability to deliver quality work to tight deadlines
•Proficiency in at least one MRP system and strong Excel Skills required.
•Business objects (or equivalent) and database skills an advantage.
•A self-starting, innovative individual who also can work as part of a team
•Masters/Bachelors degree ideally, however applicants with 3-5 years relevant experience in this area will also be considered.
•Certification in APICS or similar qualification would be an advantage


A valid work permit for Ireland is required
