We’ll look to you to make every pound count as you support the delivery of our ICT service. You’ll play your part in the transformation of our entire ICT estate as you take charge ofcontribute to the contract management of a £350m seven to ten year contract and a complex supply chain.
Responsible for contractual and supplier relationship management, you will lead negotiations with suppliers while promoting improved procurement procedures to drive efficiency and sustainability within customers and suppliers. You’ll also have the chance to engage with other procurement colleagues to build the procurement network both within the Environment Agency and through the wider DEFRA network and government bodies.
• you’ll come to us with procurement experience at a strategic level, including meeting customers’ and partners’ expectations and solving problems that may arise;
• you’ll also have or be nearing completion towards full Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualification;
• a skilled team player, you will have a proven track record of setting high standards and delivering results when faced with conflicting demands and tight deadlines;
• strong on negotiation and communication, you will be keen to take on line management and mentoring responsibilities.
