1st-Executive are currently recruiting on behalf of an oil ad gas major for the position of Project Controls Analyst/Commercial Manager (construction projects). Based out of my client`s prestigious Middlesex HQ the successful applicant will enjoy significant exposure to senior leadership in this fast paced, business critical role.

Primary responsibilities:

The analyst will ensure all vendors are paid within contractual obligations and resolve any invoicing or payment delays to the satisfaction of all parties.

The analyst will report key financial and schedule performance indicators against the portfolio of projects to advise Project Managers and the Project Director how projects are delivering against agreed schedules and sanctioned /estimated costs.

The Controls Analyst ensures the annual and 5 year long term capital plans are developed, maintained, monitored and reported against for all major building projects or program of works that are aligned with the Transformation Programme.

Ensure that all sanction documents e.g. Finance Memorandums, Authorities For Expenditure, ATN`s are supported by appropriate schedule and cost estimates, with associated risk profiles, and that Project Control procedures are both established and working to comply with the client`s processes.

Develop and maintain a consolidated master cost control document for monthly review

Ensure project financials are closed out properly and arrange periodic financial audits.

Ensure capital and opex actual, forecasted, and committed costs and schedule data are properly tracked and accounted for and included in monthly upwards reports to the Project Director identifying trends and issues.

Key requirements/experience:

- Degree calibre
- Extensive experience in similar role (construction project focused)
- Project controls professional with 10 or more years of prior financial and schedule controls experience preferably in commercial building design and construction or related fields
- Degree in accounting or business management preferred or commensurate 10-15 years in related experience.
- Exceptional analysis and project controls experience
