Seeking an IT procurement professional to join this busy purchasing/supply chain function. Ideally CIPS qualified or studying towards.
The Role:
The IT Category Manager role has been created to develop and implement leading procurement and supplier management strategies, to support operational and indirect supply requirements.
You will be responsible for managing major IT categories of expenditure, creating opportunities to improve leverage and driving implementation of best practice procurement. You will deal with complex contracts with a value of approximately £3 to £4 million annually, and be able to manage upwards and downwards, liaising with colleagues across the business, as well as key internal and external stakeholders.
The Person:
• Must have previous IT procurement experience
• Ideally knowledge of OJEU and European guidelines (desirable)
• Ability to negotiate / influence / communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ideally be degree qualified and/or CIPS qualified (or studying towards).
