Supply Chain / Quality Improvement Opportunity

1st Executive are currently recruiting for a global Manufacturing & Engineering organisation, widely recognised as having unrivalled Engineering and Production capabilities in their market and known for regularly delivering innovative solutions to their clients.

Due to a continued period of sustained growth and excellent results as well as an increased workload, my client has expanded the Procurement and Supply Chain function and currently there is an exciting opportunity available for a Supplier Quality Improvement Officer

This represents a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that operates globally, with a strong ethos for identifying and promoting the top performers. They are particularly keen for candidates who wish to develop their skills in the Supply Chain/Logistics space and gain Lean Six Sigma qualifications, with great networking opportunities in the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Engineering and Manufacturing industry sectors.

THE ROLE

Managing supplier performance and improvement across all commodities and programmes.
Liaise regularly with the procurement team, suppliers, and logistics colleagues, providing training and coaching for improvement of the overall Supply Chain.
Involved in developing company-wide improvement plans, defining action plans for individual suppliers.
Build & develop strong relationships with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

- You will be experienced in Supplier / Quality Improvement techniques with knowledge of relevant processes such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, etc.
- A degree-level qualification or Six Sigma Yellow, Green or Black Belt certification will be beneficial
- Although the industry sector is not important, you will have demonstrable understanding of Supply Chain Improvement with at least one year of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills, able to lead and coach colleagues and suppliers
- Ambitious individual keen to develop and progress in the company - not just managing a day-to-day job!

Salary: ?30 - ?40k + Excellent Benefits Package including private healthcare, bonus, contributory pension scheme, and flexible working hours
