Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £60-£70,000

Primary objective of this position:
To develop the supply chain within UK and Africa with full responsibility for the financial planning.
Reporting to and their job title: Chief Operating Officer

Responsibilities:
" To manage the sourcing of all goods and services within the UK and Africa in order to achieve the best possible service and cost base.
" Ensure that savings and KPi's are measured, reported and tracked throughout the business in order to deliver the projected bottom line benefits.
" Deliver Indirect savings and service improvements in line with agreed plans.
" Ensure that both internal and group reports are produced and delivered in line with requirements.
" Leverage UK & Africa spend by consolidating supply base and aggregating volumes with the rest of the EMEA Group via effective category management and teamwork.
" Develop a clear purchasing strategy for the business and ensure that plans are cascaded throughout the purchasing team.
" Manage the day to day work load and individual performance within the team to ensure financial and strategic objectives are met.
" Ensure that we have a proficient and high calibre team in procurement, inbound factored logistics, VA/VE and supplier development.
" Develop, utilise and deploy advanced negotiation techniques within the business (should cost analysis, cost break down analysis etc.)
" Work with Product Development, Sales and Marketing, Engineering and Finance departments to ensure continuous improvement of processes.
" Proactively identify, manage and track cost and service improvement projects and ensure that they are reported clearly within the business.
" Ensure that supply lead times are reduced and service levels increased in line with business needs.
" Ensure that the regions DPO is in line with budgeted expectations.
" To negotiate and maintain supply agreements with nominated suppliers.
" Ensure that sustainability and ethical policies are adhered to within the supplier base.
" To implement personal training plans for all staff within the department.
" To enhance the image of of the business with all suppliers and outside organizations.
" To negotiate contracts for the company.

Principal Accountabilities:
" To deliver and track the annual cost improvement in line with agreed plans for direct and indirect purchases (Direct material, indirect spend, VA/VE)
" Ensure that all purchasing KPi's are managed in line with budget expectations (PPM, OFR, Lead time reduction, Supplier rationalisation, DPO etc.)
" Ensure that internal and group reports are provided in line with requirements.
" Ensure that savings are tracked to completion and impact the P&L according to plan.
" To ensure that the business complies with the code of conduct and business ethics.
" Support and lead where necessary new product introductions to ensure products are supplied on time and to desired cost and quality.
" To manage the day to day team activities and individual performance.

Education / Qualifications:
" CIPS or equivalent qualification
" Degree level qualification or above

Experience
" At least 10 year's experience within Manufacturing, Automotive or Aerospace industries
" Good Manager of People
" Commercially experienced
" Able to develop and use complex reporting tools
" Overseas Experience i.e. Asia, South Africa
