Purchasing Manager - Direct (Raw Materials), and Indirect Services within an expanding UK corporate currently investing in a more cohesive best-practice Procurement structure, the business is currently focused on driving improvements across structure, processes, tools and systems

Your remit will encompass:

Ensuring procurement category sourcing is efficient and effective
Leading strategy, policy and direction creation
Design & implementation of innovative procurement processes, policies and solutions
Ensuring departmental contribution to group savings initiatives are realised
Identification of pertinent new suppliers to ensure continued best-in-market service provision
Ensure legally sound and commercially robust contracts in place and adhered to
Develop, maintain & manage credible & beneficial stakeholder relationships
Ensure procurement best-practice policy and industry regulatory requirements are adhered to
Analyse, develop and where relevant rationalise supply base, ensuring value, stability, performance and market competitiveness are maintained & improved

Requirements:

You will ideally possess broad Direct Commodity (e.g. Plastics, Wood), and Indirect Services category spend experience
Demonstrable stakeholder influencing, relationship management skills
Strong best-practice procurement strategy, policy and governance experience
eSourcing / eProcurement systems knowledge
Dynamic and driven, you will possess flair and gravitas, and a passion for best practice procurement
