Our client is an established, global financial services organisation and is now one of the largest financial services groups in the world. Its brands operate around the globe and down your street to provide banking services for individuals, businesses and institutions. Further, they are consistently independently recognised as a leader in Strategic Sourcing.
This global financial services organisation is looking for a Sourcing Group Manager to supplement their Procurement team. This role will focus on the energy and utilities spend of the RBS group and involve building and setting the strategy and driving delivery of savings targets through the strategic sourcing process.
Successful candidates will need to be able to demonstrate capabilities in strategy, leadership, relationship building and innovation.
Ideal candidates will have experience in:

• 3 year plus experience of managing utility / energy vendors.
• Management of an identified global category spend of c.£105m: Utilities.
• Driving sourcing and vendor management initiatives to deliver P&L and added value benefits for Business Units and the Group.
• Developing robust 3-5 year Sourcing Group Strategies (with Business Partner input) to cover key categories, detailing strategic options and opportunities to deliver value to the Group in the longer-term.
• Understanding of dependencies across Utilities categories and ensuring increased co-operation and co-ordination between categories and teams on a global basis.
• Developing effective relationships with key stakeholders, across businesses and geographies.
• Development of effective supplier relationships and ensuring implementation of effective Vendor Management practices in conjunction with Business Partners.
• Preparing business cases for major contracts and ensuring sign-off in accordance with internal processes.
