Reporting directly to the Finance Director and Managing Director, you will be responsible for establishing all aspects of purchasing, both direct and indirect, incorporating consolidating items, assessing suppliers and reducing costs to the maximum. Annual spend equates to £12million.
This is a challenging role where you will have the opportunity to have complete autonomy. The successful candidate will therefore need to be strategically minded, a self starter, have vision and deliver value. You will possess excellent communication and negotiating skills, strong relationship building skills and be flexible and adaptable in your approach.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working as a Purchasing Manager or Senior Buyer, ideally from within the dairy or bakery or similar related industry.
