In order to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers, they have built and invested in a strong global footprint of technical sales, marketing, engineering and manufacturing operations throughout the world.
They now have a new and exciting opportunity for a Project Buyer to join their European team based in Worcester. This role is integral to New Product Development and fully integrated within the Business Sales units in securing ongoing/new opportunities globally.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, your key skills will include strategic and effective negotiation and Leadership. With a proactive approach you will drive communication and relationship development on a Global level.
You will be fully conversant and experienced in negotiation, Supplier selection & development, RFQ/QAF Analysis, Technical drawings and VA/VE activities. You will also have experience of Lean principals, Contractual Implementation, Direct & Indirect spend management, Metric collation/management and the ability to drive best practise within our processes.
The successful candidate for this role will have previous proven experience coupled with a degree, and ideally hold a CIPS Foundation Level qualification. You will be an excellent communicator with enthusiasm, drive and the ability to autonomously identify opportunities and deliver continuous improvement ideas & activities. You will be a hands on team player and proactively demonstrate the organisation’s core values.
