PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN CATEGORY SPECIALIST (ROTATING QUIPMENT) VACANCY within a leading global oil and gas company. Focusing on exploration and production this role aims to provide a `world class` contribution that significantly adds to the profitability of the business.
Working with Strategic Performance Units and other functional groups the jobholder will responsible for maximising value delivered from expenditure with third parties. The aim of this is to provide a `world class` contribution that significantly adds to the profitability of the business.
Working as part of the broader Global Rotating equipment team, together with the SPUs, the Category Specialist will help drive the development and execution of key sourcing initiatives, adding value through their depth of experience, expertise and networks. This role will also provide mentoring, competency and capability development to the SPU teams.
Requirements:
- Experience as a supply chain professional in upstream/downstream oil/gas industry.
- Experience in strategy development and contracting of complex services/category management
- Significant exposure to high value commitments
- Leading d delivery of negotiations with major international suppliers
- Development of framework and/or long term agreements
- University degree
- CPS, CIPS or MCIPS qualification
