The Logistics Quality Specialist is responsible for qualifying the supplier and ensuring the supplier understands and delivers all the requirements of the end client from a logistics view point. Suppliers must be able to supply in series volumes with series processes with no impact to the highly intensive production.
You will responsible for the following:-
* Contributing and having a significant input in supplier selection process for the Oxford site.
* Assess other potentially more suitable suppliers and locations via RMT & RFP in order to ensure a smooth transition from one supply location to another.
* Supplier Qualification - New suppliers must be able to meet and support all of the quality standards expected.
* Aligning the Central LQS team and the Oxford LQS team
* Utilising both UK, Indian, Chinese, Korean and Mexican suppliers where necessary
* The LQS must make assessments on supplier's capability and logistics performance and then determine what qualification support the supplier needs to ensure continuous supply for the Plant.
Operating Framework:-
* Overall qualification responsibility for 300 Suppliers
* In excess of 10 resource relocations per year
* 25 supplier qualifications using RMT System
Skills and Knowledge
* Operational Flexibility - Travelling between the UK and Europe
* German Language Skills
* Logistics & Supply Chain Experience
* Project Management Experience
